Tax-Planning-Ops

Private beta Does the work of a Tax strategist

A tax strategist that reads your real books, runs the math deterministically, and hands you a signed, review-ready plan. Not a list of tips.

Your books + returnsDeterministic tax engineSigned plan + memo

Who it is for

Built for year-round tax work, not April panic.

Founders, solo operators, and households who want tax strategy handled all year instead of crammed into one April scramble.

Why it wins

Cited math. Finished plans.

01

Every figure is computed from cited IRS sources. Nothing is invented by a language model.

Reads your actual ledger and uploaded returns (vision OCR with a human correction loop), so plans start from real numbers, not guesses.

02

You get finished work products: plan PDFs, signed memos, quarterly numbers. Review is optional, not homework.

Runs Roth-conversion and S-corp reasonable-comp optimizers, quarterly estimates, and what-if scenarios on a deterministic 1040 engine.

03

Tax planning becomes a year-round loop that knows when a strategy actually paid off, in dollars.

Writes strategist memos grounded in your books, walks them through sign-off, and tracks realized savings against what was projected.

How it works

Books in. Strategy out.

01

Connect the books

Link Accounting-Ops or upload last year's return. Tax-Planning-Ops extracts the fields and lets you correct anything it misread.

02

Run the strategies

The strategist runs scenarios, optimizers, and quarterly math on the deterministic engine, then drafts the memo from your real filing context.

03

Sign and track

You (or your CPA) sign off, export the client-ready PDF, and it reconciles projected savings against what really happened.

~30MCP tools, so your agents and your humans use the same product

Proof points

  • The 1040 engine is golden-tested to the dollar (2025 MFJ, $120k wages, $10,143 total tax) and built from cited IRS Rev. Proc. sources. It caught a pre-OBBBA standard-deduction error because the constants are sourced, not guessed.
  • The engine is trusted enough that our own Accounting-Ops vendored it.
  • Multi-tenant isolation is proven fail-closed in production: 23 enforced row-level security policies, re-verified July 2026.
  • We run Magic Unicorn's own tax planning on it every day.
  • Comparable commercial planning tools run about $1,600 to $2,000 a year.

Pricing and access

We run Magic Unicorn's own tax planning on it every day. Public signup isn't open yet; seats are by request while we onboard slowly.

Magic Unicorn is software, not a CPA firm. You (or your CPA, if you want one) review and approve before anything files, and Tax-Planning-Ops itself never files a return. You stay the signer.

FAQ

Plain answers.

Does it replace my CPA?

It does the strategist's work end to end: reads the books, runs the math, writes the memo, tracks the savings. But Magic Unicorn is software, not a CPA firm. You (or your CPA, if you want one) review and approve, and you stay the signer.

Does it file my return?

No. Tax-Planning-Ops plans, computes, and prepares finished work products. Filing stays with you or your preparer.

Where does the math come from?

A deterministic engine built from cited IRS revenue procedures, updated for OBBBA. Figures are computed, never generated by a language model, and the engine is golden-tested to the dollar.

Is my financial data safe?

Every tenant is isolated behind enforced row-level security, proven fail-closed in production, behind Unicorn Commander single sign-on. Inference can run fully local, so your financials never have to leave your hardware.

Can I use it today?

We use it daily on our own books. Public signup isn't open yet, so email us and we'll talk about a seat.
